Joel Vogel, a resident of the City of St. Joseph met with the City Council with a proposal to bring AEDs outdoors.
Audrey Twit another resident became aware of the initiative and donated $11,000 to the effort sponsoring 4 locations.
The City of St. Joseph City Council also committed to sponsor 5 units to be placed throught the city.
St. Joseph, located in Stearns County was one of the first cities to organize and initiative to install outdoor AEDs in the community.
St. Joseph continues to have AED Smart Cabinets placed in the city provided by local businesses and foundations.
